Soap Ingredients
The following is a list of our ingredients in order of proportion—most
to least:
Soap: Certified Organic extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, goat milk, sodium hydroxide (lye), honey, essential oils (in the scented soaps), Certified Organic calendula flowers and beeswax.
Lotion Bars: Beeswax, Almond Oil, Coconut oil, Certified Organic
calendula flowers, essential oils (in the scented lotion bars).
"Organic": The extra virgin olive oil we use to make our soap is NOP Certified Organic. Certificate available upon request. The calendula flowers we use to infuse both the olive oil and the almond oil are Certified Organic and grown by a small farmer in Penasco, NM. Certificate available upon request. My goats, who supply the milk for my soap, eat alfalfa hay grown without pesticides (but not Certified Organic); they eat Certified Organic feed on the milking stand. They also enjoy food scraps from the kitchen. If they need antibiotics (once in the past 6 years)--their milk does not get used until the antibiotics clear their system.
Soap and Lotion Bar Weights
Weights listed are approximate; each bar is hand poured, so variations
in weight do occur.
